Ministry Theme

Prepare /equip our future leaders of the Church.

To develop ministries that nurtures the faith of children & youth

 

DEPARTMENT GOALS

 
1.     Train & Equip leaders & complete tasks to provide quality Christian programs:
  • Objective: Reinforce “7 Steps of Youth Ministry” {The Visitor November 2012 Issue pg.12}
2.     Train & Equip leaders of the Awareness Of Youth Retention:”
  • Objective: Reinforce the principles of Identified in “Finding Them, Keeping Them” {Adventist World December 2012 Issue pg.26}
  • NOTE: HOME VISITATIONS OF MISSING FAMILY MEMBERS TO FOSTER ATTENDANCE AND ENCOURAGE EXCITEMENT TO RETURN TO CHURCH.
3.     In reach: Implement program to foster awareness of SDA fundamental beliefs:
  • Objectives: Sabbath Bi Weekly Bible Studies (Children/Youth); Trip to EG White Estate (Spring 2014); and regular 13th Sabbath Children Programming.
4.     In reach: Visual Understanding of the Bible:
  • Objectives: Trip to Sight & Sound (March 2013) & Dramatization of the Birth of Christ (December 2013) and Dramatization on the “Good & Evil” (Spiritual Warfare)
5.     Outreach to Community: (Adventures & AYS)
  • Objectives:  Children: Vacation Bible School; Spring & Fall Youth Week of Prayer; Youth Concert(s), Youth Overnight Lock-In programs, and supporting/networking w/collaborating churches & AYS programming.

 

 
 

Youth/Children's Sabbath School Classes

Each Sabbath morning, Sabbath schools for each age group welcome children to an hour of active learning geared to their stage of faith development. These classes provide faith-shaping experiences for newborns through adolescents.

 

Children's Sabbath School Classes

Beginners/Kindergarten:
          Birth–5 years old

Primary:
          6–9 years old (grades 1–4)

Juniors/Earliteens:
          10–13 years old (grades 5–8)

Youth:
          14+ years old (grades 9–12)
